WFMH was launched in 1948 with the aim of promoting mental health and citizenship, mutual understanding through co-operation across professional boundaries, the establishment of mental health services in every country of the world and the promotion of education about mental health, with the aim of empowering people who deliver and receive mental health services.

WFMH established World Mental Health Day in 1992 to expand education about mental health, and it continues this work as an annual project.

The WFMH Board is involving you as a global citizen in choosing the theme for World Mental Health Day 2022.

READ EACH OF THE FIVE THEMES BELOW AND THEN USE THE LINK TO CHOOSE YOUR FAVORITE THEME.

The theme with the highest number of votes will be chosen as the World Mental Health Day theme for 2022.
